Here's an update! Now supports different tic file layouts.
TicAdder
~~~~~~~~
You've heard of debuggers? Well, here's a bug (welll tic actually) adder!!
This proggy runs as an adjunct to MAX'sBBS and handles automatic importing
of ADS/SAN files (using their appropriate .Tic files) into the system.
It can be run at any SysEvent time (I run it each day) and will look for
any .Tic files in a user-specified directory. If any are found, it will
attempt to import the described files into your file base, using the
description in the .tic file as the file descritpion (well, the first 60
characters of it anyway)
It looks for a file called Tic.Trans in your BBS path - this file (see
attached) contains the exact location of the Inbound directory (mine is
BBS:Fidonet/Inbound/ - don't firget the trailing "/" or ":") where the .Tic
files and associated files are located and also contains list a consisting
of three columns: the first is an ADS/SAN areaname, the second is the
section number in your BBS to add the files into and the third (which is
optional) is the path to which to move the file (is none is supplied, it
will not be moved).
By default, it will mark all the files as New, since the areanames seem to
be a little "flexible" - ie you find Virus, utils etc all lumped in
together. There is a command-line argument of -Public however: if used,
all files will be available for download by your members.
Cheers,
Randy
